Why Culture and Jumpstart go Together

by | Blog

Culture defined by Merriam-Webster means “the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations…the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization”. The operative word of this definition is “integrated”, because this defines the health of a culture, specifically in the workplace.

When integration is missing in a corporate culture, all of the differentiated parts that have the potential of lending their vitality and knowledge to the system dissipate energy, and the culture loses valuable insight and definition. When this is the case, a culture risks losing the support of the system, while still operating towards certain goals. In other words, there is a disconnect between the body and the brain, and it slows momentum down.

Stale legacy cultures have been the defining characteristic of business as usual, and the new workforce needs a whole new operating system to avoid the risks that these cultures make. These cultures need new energy to support their initiatives going forward, which is why we’ve created the Culture Jump-Start to re-integrate potentially great cultures and support companies in their growth stages.

Energy and Integration are a power couple in the workforce. When people are inspired to bring their best to work, remarkable things can happen. We believe that by empowering emergent leaders to change the world, inspiring solutions can happen naturally and organically. Here’s to a world that works!
